- J. Paul Getty Center: spectacular museum boasts a most impressive collection by such luminaries as Van Gogh, Monet and Cezanne, along with the architectural triumph of its six buildings and gardens.

- San Antonio Winery: this wine shop in the heart of Los Angeles has been established as a Cultural Historical Landmark.
- Rodeo Drive: packed with exclusive shops, full of gawkers. They all came to enjoy the excess.
- Sunset Boulevard: Perhaps one of the world's most famous streets, it began as a route between the stars' posh neighborhoods and the Hollywood studios. It runs from downtown to the ocean, passing through the "Sunset Strip" on its way.
- Simon Wiesenthal Center Museum of Tolerance: this museum helps visitors understand and experience discrimination.
- Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels: located in the midst of downtown Los Angeles, only the second cathdral to be built in a US city in the past 50 year, the structure has been compared to Notre Dame in its magnificense.
- Griffith Park: comprising over 4,000 acres, Griffith Park one of the largest urban parks in the world and is home to a number of wonferful attractions. Also, if you're from out of state, it may be your only chance.
- Elysian Park: although just outside of the downtown area, this bucolic park has a series of running and biking trails that make it a peaceful escape from city life.
- Universal Studios Hollywood: Universal Studios is located in the heart of Hollywood. Get a tour of the famous studios and go on all of the amazing rides. A great park for the whole family and enjoyable no matter what your age is.
- Los Angeles County Museum of Art: over 100,000 works from all over the world are housed at LA's most popular museum, which has one of the largest collections of art in the U.S. Claude Monet's "Water Lilies" and a specially designed pavilion for Japanese art are only a sampling of the treasures inside this comprehensive and far-from-stuffy premier art museum.
- Grauman's Chinese Theatre: beautiful theater. Well worth a visit, and features quite a bit of history.
- Monastery of the Angels: a convent of cloistered Dominican nuns. Visitors can view the building and grounds and shop in the gift shop.
- Petersen Automotive Museum: named for Robert Peterson, publisher of Hot Rod and Motor Trend magazines, this salute to the car industry takes you back through history and into the future with over 200 innovative, and sometimes interactive, exhibits of cars and motorcycles that enthrall not only car aficionados, but also children and adults alike.
