In any discussion of Cameroon’s “Indomitable Lions” this year, it is impossible to see past the pair of strikers that must be “apples” in the eye of coach Volker Finke. Not only will Cameroon be captained by striker Samuel Eto’o, who will be playing in his fourth World Cup finals event after scoring nine Premier League goals for Chelsea last season, but he will be joined by 22-year-old Vincent Aboubakar, who recently scored an incredible 16 goals for French league team Lorient, in what can only be described as a standout season. In 1990 Cameroon was the first African team to ever reach a World Cup quarter-final round, so the world will be keenly watching how they fare in Group A, alongside favorites Brasil.
